VFX assignments.

First assignment for my 3d vfx class and first time I used pflow.

Alleyway re-rendered

So I decided to unwrap the main building to paint the textures but now I have to do the same to the other buildings too. and still need to render an ambient occlusion pass.

lab renders v.2.0

Some closeup renders of the lab I did for advanced material and lighting.

VFX assignment 1

So for my 3D VFX assignment I am doing a scene very much inspired by the cinematic trailer of Diablo 3. This is the scene so far, I am working on the particle system that's going to go into this scene.

Turkish Coffee House_ finished model

I am done modeling this environment I believe and now I am going to start texturing and lighting. It turned out to be a lot bigger environment than I thought initially.

Alleyway_test render

ok I had some problems with rendering this scene which made me realize that rendering is a category on its' own. So the issue I had was that I had this lines around the pipe on the tall building that shouldn't be there and when I had the sky texture on half a geosphere and when it rendered a still it looked good but when it rendered as an animation it was messed up.  I had the  divide along camera path turned on because the FG looked so much better I haven't been able to figure it out yet and that's why for this render I used a map in the background. But yeah this is one of the scenes that's going to be on my reel most likely.

what I got to add to this scenes today. I am debating if I should make it present time or the Ottoman Empire time.  Thanks to my mom's suggestion I added old Turkish lamps instead of the fluorescent lamps. But I still don't know.

This is going to be an environment for the Sherbetcibot.

I am modeling this based on the design of Emrah Elmasli, an amazing Turkish concept artist based in England his website I am so happy that he let me use his concept and I intend to stay true to that as much as I can.
So this is what I have so far. I am not sure if I am allowed post his artwork here or not but if you go to his page it's in the top section to the far right corner.
